County Delegation

The County Delegation is the Legislative Branch of the county government, which consists of Carroll County's 15 elected State Representatives. The Delegation has the authority, through NH RSA 24:13, 24:13-d, and 23:7 to:

• Raise County taxes
• Appropriate the necessary funds for County operations
• Authorize the purchase of real estate for County use and sale or conveyance of County real estate
• Approve County building erection, enlargement, or repair in excess of $25,000
• Issue bonds for County debt
• Appropriate contingency funds and reserve accounts
• Approve funding transfers over $1,000 between the County budget line items
• Biennially set the salary and compensation for the sheriff, county commissioners, county attorney, treasurer, and register of deeds
